Course Audience

This course is intended for students who are experienced in managing a Linux environment and require instruction on the configuration and maintenance of a Linux cluster.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge about Linux as covered in ''Using UNIX/Linux'' (BW-LNXUSR), ''Linux System Administration'' (BW-LNXADM), ''Linux Network Administration'' (BW-LNXNET), or equivalent experience is strongly recommended.

Course Description

This course describes the tasks that a system manager must perform to plan, install, configure, and set up the hardware and the software for an highly available Linux cluster. The topics include operating system installation, setup and managing tasks, storage installation and configuration, installation and configuration of highly available services, and troubleshooting problems.
