Course Audience

This course is designed for students with some experiences in managing a UNIX environment who will be managing an UNIX network that includes a Linux operating system.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge about using a UNIX operating system as covered in ''Using UNIX/Linux'' (BW-LNXUSR) and managing a Linux operating system as covered in ''Linux System Administration'' (BW-LNXADM) or equivalent experience is highly recommended.

Course Description

This course describes the tasks that a network manager must perform to get a Linux operation system fully connected and operating in a TCP/IP network. The course covers from how to setup and manage a TCP/IP network with all related services including NFS, NIS, BIND, DHCP and troubleshoot network problems.
